Acting in Television Commercials

This course provides students with the fundamentals skills necessary to pursue another career in the field of commercial acting. Included are the fundamentals of acting for commercial acting, presentation of self in the interview/audition process, an explanation of related careers as well as the opportunity for students to apply comptencies learned in this course by performing industry and community showcases. Registration Fee: $20.00 per semester, Class Fee: $15.00 per semester, Student Body Fee: $2.00.

Computer Operator

This is a sequence of five courses, from beginner to IC3
Certification.

COMP OP /1: Foundations: technical instruction and practical experience in basic computer operation and keyboarding.

COMP OP /2: Integrated Applications: technical instruction and practical experience in the integrated applications of several computer programs (Microsoft Office 2007).

COMP OP /3: Database Management: technical instruction and practical experience in database management (Miscrosoft Access 2007).

COMP OP /4: Presentations: technical instruction and practical experience in presentation programs (Microsoft
PowerPoint 2007).

COMP OP /5: IC3 Certification Preparation: provides students with technical instruction and practical experience in fulfilling the requirements of the Internet and Computing Core Certificate (IC³) Program, a global training and certification program for students and employees who want to excel in a digital world. IC³ Certification consists of three core certification exams: Computing Fundamentals, Key Applications, and Living On-Line.

Computer Operation /2: Integrated Applications

This course provides students with technical instruction and practical experience in the integrated applications of several computer programs. It includes an introduction, reviews of workplace safety and employability skills. Emphasis is placed on the integrated application, trouble shooting, and upgrading techniques for word processing, electronic spreadsheets, mail merging, and electronic presentations. Training will cover Microsoft Windows 7 and Microsoft Office 2010 Applications. Registration Fee: $20.00. Class Fee: $20.00.

Open Computer Laboratory

Do you need a little extra help with your computer? This is an "open" lab where students are encouraged to practice on their own, but with personal assistance of a computer instructor. Cook Trainee - Food Preparation Class

People for entry-level food service employment in restaurants, schools, and hospitals. Assistance with job placement upon completion of course will be provided. Identify and practice the current sanitation and safely regulations and skills needed to earn the Food Handlers Certificate. Learn proper use of various kitchen equipment used in food service. Learn how to use recipes and properly organize laboratory assignments. Learn to use volume and weight measurements. All phases of food preparation (general knowledge).
