Frequently Asked Questions

When do new
classes begin?
• There is continuous registration
and enrollment for new students. New classes are offered
each semester--at the beginning of September and again
in February. There is also a six-week summer session from
July to August.
When can I register?
• New students
may register at any time. Open enrollment allows students
to
begin immediately.
What is the cost?
• Academic,
English as a Second Language, Citizenship, Gerontology
classes are free. A $20 registration fee and a minimal
class fee are charged for other classes. Senior citizens,
60 year of age, do not pay the registration fee. A voluntary
student body fee of $2 for a student identification card
is payable upon enrollment.
What levels of ESL are offered?
• All levels
of English as a Second Language are offered at our five
major branches: Fairfax Adult School, Hamilton Adult School,
University Adult School, Palisades Adult School and West
Hollywood Community Center. Beginning and intermediate
levels are also offfered at 18 smaller sites throughout
the West Los Angeles and West Hollywood areas. For more

What documents are required?
• No documents
are required to attend any adult school class. |
