About Our New
Name
Westside Community Adult School is one
of the 26 adult schools in the Division of Adult and Career
Education of the Los Angeles Unified School District. On
October 28, 2003, Fairfax, Hamilton, University and Palisades
Adult Schools joined together to form Westside Community
Adult School.
Classes are held at over 50 branch locations
in West Los Angeles, Hollywood and the City of West Hollywood.
The largest program is the Program for Older Adults followed
by English-as-a-Second Language. Academic, GED Preparation,
Citizenship, Parenting, and Vocational are also offered.
A Message From The Principal
Welcome to Westside Community Adult
School--a school that has the reputation of offering among
the best Academic, Program for Older Adults and English-as-a-Second-Language
(ESL) Programs in Los Angeles. Few schools offer such a
high quality of instruction and teachers.
Westside Adult
School is a public school and is part of the Division
of Adult and Career Education of the Los Angeles Unified
School District. Classes are free or at low cost and are
open to all. Our goal is to offer the best possible instruction
so that you can be successful in your personal and professional
life.
As a new student, you are very important
to us, and we want you to have a positive and rewarding
educational experience. We hope that this information sheet
will help orient you to our school as easily and quickly
as possible. We also hope that you will enjoy your experience
with us and benefit from our program. We wish you success.
